With women being responsible for the spending of 82 cents of every dollar spent in the United States, women that blog — particularly women that blog that also have children — are being courted by companies like never before.
But many a pitch fails to get mom bloggers talking; how do you avoid these pitfalls? How do you create a project that treats mom bloggers with respect but doesn’t cost your clients the entire marketing budget? Using examples of actual pitches, both good and bad, Cecily will help you understand the best ways to approach this group of bloggers. Cecily will show the breakdown of mom bloggers from memoir bloggers to frugal bloggers to coupon bloggers and more. Using her trademark bluntness and honesty, you will learn more about the Momosphere then you need to know from this session.
Cecily has been embedded in the momosphere since 2004, and is currently a mom blogger with a highly successful blog. She’s spoken at BlogHer 10, Mom 2.0 Summit, two Type-A Mom conferences, as well as at the Social Media Club Philly, the 4th Annual Conference of Women in Addiction and Recovery, and the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
